With Google Ads Replacing AdWords, What Might It Mean For SEO

Did you know that good old trusty AdWords is being replaced by Google Ads,  Los Angeles? It’s true. Now, before you start running around thinking the sky is falling, we should stress that AdWords turning into Google Ads is more of a rebranding than anything else. We’re still talking about Google’s ad platform, and indications are that most of the features are going to remain the same, or quite similar. But as we know in the SEO world, small changes can sometimes have a significant impact. So, what do we know about the differences between the two versions?

 

A Gradual Rollout

 

Well, one thing that we know about Google Ads is that it’s not all going to be rolled out at once. The process is going to be gradual, taking several months, especially as it relates to some of the ancillary features like the former AdWords app and the AdWords Editor desktop tool. Some people might consider it irritating that those who used all of the different aspects of AdWords are going to have to wait to find out about the effectiveness of some of these new Google Ads versions. In a sense, it might be better that different parts are making their debut at different times, Los Angeles. This way it might be less overwhelming.

 

Another thing that we know is that the new branding is supposed to be part of a far-reaching effort by Google to simplify its ad offerings. Google advertising has evolved since the days of the first AdWords version in 2000, eighteen years ago. It has moved on from strictly Google search, and now encompasses YouTube, Gmail, and the whole Google Display Network. It might be fair to say that based on Google’s past upgrades to various programs, the idea is to make things more straightforward and more intuitive, much like the constant adjustments to the search algorithm.

 

But just because a new product or service comes out with the best of intentions, it does not necessarily follow that it will hit the mark with all of its objectives, Los Angeles. We certainly can hope that the new platform is better than the old one in every way, but whether that proves to be the case or not remains to be seen.

 

Change can be a headache as often as a thrill, which is why you may want to consider bringing in an SEO company to take a look at your AdWords activity, assuming you have any. The new changes and service may prove to be easy to navigate, but until we’re a few months in, we’re just not going to know if this new arrival has made our lives easier or harder.
